Mr. Raphaël Martinetti, President of FILA: ‘None of the team leaders had any complaint with the organization’

Today, Mr. Raphaël Martinetti, President of International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) and Mr. Cristian Poteras, President of Romanian Wrestling Federation (FRL) held a press conference at the Polivalenta Arena.

Mr. Raphaël Martinetti:

‘I’m very content with the organization of this event. I think the confirmation is the fact that none of the team leaders had any complaint with the organization and when asked about it they started to applaud!’

‘Unfortunately Romania doesn’t have a big arena who can hold major events. I spoke with Romanian Prime Minister, Mr. Emil Boc, and he promised me that Romania will have in the near future a big sports arena.’

‘In the last 7, 8 years wrestling had more and more TV exposure. We have a very good website where you can find everything from results, pictures, videos etc.’

‘A lot of the other new sports in FILA like Grappling, Combat Grappling, MMA etc. are getting more popular. Grappling for instance is very popular in USA, north European countries etc. Also, MMA is getting bigger, for instance in Bulgaria, they organize events every month.’

Mr. Cristian Poteras, President of Romanian Wrestling Federation:

‘This competition is a big opportunity for Romania and we worked very hard to get things done the right way. I hope everybody is happy with our hospitality and we will always welcome you to our country with joy.’

Mr. Raphaël Martinetti:
